Cold/Flu is like a four letter word around here these days. We have been battling sickness for over a week now. All of the kids got sick at different times with similar symptoms. Madison's symptoms tend to linger longer, Easton usually gets the worst cough and doesn't sleep, and Kenzie gets the really high fevers. Just when the kids started getting better I came down with it. Making this fun journey even longer. I actually feel so much better if I could just breathe through my nose at night!
So, here is my question.
How do you feel about flu shots?
Do you get them every year?
Do your kids get them?
This is a question I have been pondering about lately. We have been on both sides of the fence, but I'm curious what your experience has been. This is the first year we haven't done them, but the kids get sick whether they get the flu shot or not every winter.

I am almost religous about flu shots, but yes, we tend to get the usual cold and cough, but not usually the flu. However, I am getting over strep as well as Spence and Adri - it has been SO fun:) I just think it is an extra precaution to the more serious flu - but everyone has different thoughts - good luck!!!
Hey Britney! It's Stephanie, from Connections. Hmm...flu shot..my hubby and I got one this year for the first time in ages. The kids didn't get them though. SO far, we've been good, the kids..not to much. I don't know if it has anything to do with getting or not getting the shot, but heck..anything to keep from getting sick is my thoughts from now on. :D So much to think about!!
I'm pretty big on getting the flu shot. This was the first year Caleb was old enough to get it. My doctor stongly encouraged me to let Caleb have one as well as me and Zane get one. I think it's kind of important and even though you may get sick here and there, the shot will decrease your chances of getting the "Real" flu. Good luck with your decision!
I have gotten our kids the flu shot every year except this one. They do still get sick even when they have had the shot but who knows it could have been a lot worse. We have been lucky so far this year to not get it. They did get something just a while ago & we went to the Dr. & he checked them for the flu & they didn't have it but he thought they had whooping cough. They would cough so hard that they would throw up at least once a day, it was bad.
Oh sad....but she does look so cute in that bed! My only feedback on shots, is that I am scared to death of needles! Love the blog- I told Alison she needs to get one!
